Setting Up and Keeping Your Appointment
While The Burnt Tiger does accept walk-ins based on artist availability, we strongly suggest that you contact us and schedule a consultation. This allows us to give you our undivided attention so we can design your perfect tattoo. After the design is agreed upon, we will require a non-refundable deposit of no less than $150. This secures your slot in our books and is applied to the price of the tattoo upon completion. We ask that no less than 48 hours notice be given in the event of a cancellation or a reschedule. We ask this because our schedules sometimes fill up to the hour and gaps in that schedule mean someone else is losing out on a potential time slot.

On the day of your tattoo appointment, we ask that you rest the night before and eat a good meal before arriving. A tattoo can and will put your body through some extremes and the afore-mentioned will help to control both pain tolerance and length of sitting time. You may also want to consider bringing a snack or two depending on how long your appointment is for. If you can, Ibuprofen may be taken as well but only as specified on the bottle. We ask the you do not come in sunburned on the area to be tattooed as this affects the application and healing of your tattoo. Large groups are always welcome however, children under 18 are not allowed. Only the client and one guest are allowed in the tattoo station at a time. Cell phone usage is allowed with the reminder that moving while getting tattooed is never recommended. Valid ID is required in the state of Illinois and you must be 18 or older to get a tattoo. NO EXCEPTIONS.
On the day of your appointment your artist will have a final design ready minus any last minute changes. Placement, colors and size will be determined as well. We will place the design on the area agreed upon and changes can be made then and don't be afraid to speak up if you're not 100% happy. We will set up our single use supplies in front of you and gladly answer any questions then as well. We will gladly explain the process of being tattooed to those who do not yet know to make it a pleasant experience. We all remember our first tattoo and know that nerves can be elevated. We will do our best to set your mind at ease and you'll see that the anticipation is far worse than the actual tattoo process.
We strongly recommend NOT using a numbing agent prior to your tattoo. If you have, you MUST notify your Artist.
